Bio

I am an advocate of the KwaZulu-Natal Bar, based in Durban. With a career spanning over three decades, I was admitted as an advocate in 1988, and in 1994, I joined the Bar and began practicing law in this vibrant coastal city.

My journey in the legal field started after completing my studies, when I served two years as a Law Officer during compulsory National Service. Following that, I worked as a public prosecutor in the Durban Magistrate's Court for four years, gaining valuable insights into criminal law and courtroom procedures. I then had the honour of being appointed as a Magistrate in the same courts, presiding over various cases for another four years.

Over time, my practice has evolved, and now I primarily focus on civil litigation, although I occasionally handle criminal matters as well. My passion lies in the courtroom, where I advocate for justice and fairness, standing up against bullies and fighting for the rights of my clients. Guided by a strong moral compass and a deep sense of empathy, I believe in the importance of upholding integrity and seeking just resolutions.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of representing clients in numerous high-profile civil and criminal cases, achieving successful outcomes. I have developed particular expertise in matters related to personal injuries and all manner and types of commercial disputes to name a couple. As a litigator, I am happy to advise on and pursue any rational matter headed for the Courts. Each case presents unique challenges, but I approach them with determination and a commitment to delivering the best possible results for my clients.

Outside of my professional life, I am a member of a loving family. I am married and have two sons, a step-son, and a step-daughter, all of whom have already found success in their own endeavors. They provide me with unwavering support and inspiration, fueling my drive to excel in my legal practice.

While I have had the opportunity to serve as an acting judge in the Durban High Court on two occasions, my true passion lies in the art of litigation. I thrive in the courtroom, using my skills and experience to navigate legal complexities and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those I represent. With a reputation for success, I continue to pursue justice, one case at a time.
